"No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, and show up."

Hi everyone!

I am so sorry for the lack of updates on Style Me Trendy lately, but I am currently in the progress of transferring over to my own domain so I will have my own blog link name!!! Very exciting.  I was very nervous to make the transformation because of the costs and the difficulties of customizing my own site and whatnot, but I am moving along, and am hoping to have my new site up and running by the end of this weekend!  I have been working very hard to get my website to be what I want it to be, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.  Thank you to all of you for being so patient, and I will be sure to post a link to my new blog as soon as it is ready!!! Have a great weekend everyone 🙂

We all know her.  We all love her.  We all want her wardrobe.  We DEFINITELY all wish we had her hair.  Essentially, we all want to be her.  Who am I referring to?  None other than my all-time favorite TV character: Rachel Green from Friends.

As I continue to watch episodes of Friends to this day (actually, I watch it every night before bed), I realize that Rachel Green’s fashion is timeless.  The outfits she wore on the show I would still consider rocking to this day, despite the fact that the show debuted almost 20 years ago, in 1994.

Rachel mastered the “professional chic” look for her dream-like jobs at Bloomingdale’s and Ralph Lauren, and being offered a job with Gucci in the series finale.  Her weekend style looks were my personal favorite because she made them look so effortless yet classy and of-the-moment.  What I found most impressive was that she managed to stay 100% stylish while she was pregnant as well.

Check out some of my favorite looks of hers below and my picks for how to rock a similar look.

Which look of Rachel Green’s is your favorite?

For this first look, I am simply obsessed with her bag.  The color, the shape, the embroidered details.  Simply gorgeous, and a perfect pop of color for a neutral outfit.

Lime Green purses

1. Etsy, $51
2. Elie Tahari, $328
3. Metro Park, $218
4. Sheinside.com, $77

This look is totally something I would wear, and the look is so effortless, yet the unbuttoned shirt shows her subtle sexiness.

Plaid + Anorak

Look 1:
shirt: J.Crew, $40 (on SALE!)
jacket: chicwish.com, $60

Look 2:
shirt: Haute Hippie, $325
jacket: sheinside.com, $64

This leather jacket of hers is straight-up amazing.  The visual attractiveness of the texture makes it seem like it is real leather, making it all the more desirable, and the color is so versatile.

Tan Leather Jackets

1. Diesel, $940
2. Carven, $720
3. House of Fraser, $497
4. Haute Hippie, $995
5. Ralph Lauren, $703

Rachel hit one of this summer’s hottest trends right on the head in this adorable sleeveless denim top.

Sleeveless Denim

3. Pull and Bear, $29
4. Oasis, $44
5. Topshop, $56

This look of her’s is my all-time favorite.  The neutral-colored chiffon top is so chic, and with it she paired taupe-colored cropped trousers, and nude-colored pointy-toe kitten heels.

2. 3.1 Phillip Lim, $450
3. indressme.com, $66
